Marcela Sanchez states the obvious, no matter what "reform" bill we pass, immigration from Mexico will remain a problem until we address the problem of Mexico's economic development.
Also highly recommended is yesterday's NYT front page story on class focusing on a Mexican and Greek immigrant in New York City. It's a very long article, but contains a lot of insights in the narrative.
Mexico is going to investigate the murders occurring along the border.
AMLO said he would reduce the salary of the president if he wins in 2006. It's a great move politically, because it takes the focus briefly off some issues and forces some people to question whether his opponents would do the same.
