Today's LA Times has a number of articles/columns on immigration that give a wide range of views on immigration. Front page on their website is an article on
immigration coming from Central America. Rep. Tancredo, who is the chair of the "immigration reform" caucus has another
anti-immigration op-ed. On the other side, Toronto journalist
Irshad Manji says that the US's immigration policy is not so bad and that Europe should copy it, particularly as it relates to immigration from Muslim countries. Of lesser importance, one author says immigrants should spend more money here in the US, instead of sending as remittances, and the other discusses immigration in the context of Springsteen songs.
Also, out of the Washington Post, there's an op-ed from someone from Arizona discussing the Minuteman project. The author stresses the problem isn't the immigrants or anti-immigration forces, the problem is our government's complete failure to do anything, liberal or conservative.
