N'importe pas

Tomorrow France will vote on the EU constitution and if the polls are correct, they will vote non.

At that time, Europe will be ripped apart by a violent civil war. Blood will run in the streets and refugees will flee to all corners of the globe. The bombings of major cities will leave ghost towns. War rations will be implemented as the subsidy system breaks down and European farmers are no longer able to produce enough food to meet the needs of populations under blockade. With the exception of the inevitable surrender of France, the outcome is unpredictable and will completely reshape geopolitics for centuries to come.

Or... maybe not.

There's going to be a lot of analysis over this vote during the next few days, but I find it hard to take seriously. This new constitution is a massive document created after two years of negotiations that has a long way to go before it starts solving the issues Europe faces. Whether Europe passes it or not, Europe and the rest of the world will continue the same as always.
